Dr. Ushalakshmi is a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a colleague & a friend when she was diagnosed with early breast cancer in 2002.To honour Dr. Ushalakshmis struggle & applaud her strength in the fight against Breast Cancer, the Breast Centre at KIMS has her name attached to it.
Every issue will aim to
- Feature a breast cancer ‘conqueror’s story
- Highlight the initiatives of a woman of substance
- Explain a breast health issue in simple easy to understand language
- Add ‘something else’ that would interest the readership.
We hope that in the fullness of time, this innovative initiative undertaken by the Foundation will make a meaningful impact at empowering people about every aspect of breast health, and equally, strengthen the resolve of breast cancer ‘conquerors’ in their fight against breast cancer…
