Miss World 2025 Contestants from 5 Countries visit KIMS-USHALAKSHMI Centre for Breast Diseases @in KIMS Hospitals, Hyderabad Ms Julia Morley CBE, Chairman & CEO of Miss World Limited & Miss World 2025 contestants commend Dr Raghu Ram for his disruptive initiatives to improve Breast Cancer Care in India over the past 18 years Early detection saves lives. Dr Raghu Ram pledges to dedicate his life to Early detection of Breast cancer in India Impressed with the disruptive Breast Cancer advocacy initiatives spearheaded by Ushalakshmi Breast Cancer Foundation & KIMS-USHALAKSHMI Centre for Breast Diseases @, KIMS Hospitals, a focussed group of Miss World 2025 contestants representing five Nations created the time to visit the centres of excellence at KIMS Hospitals today. Welcoming the gathering Dr. B. Bhaskar Rao, Chairman of KIMS Group of Hospitals said “ A very warm welcome to Miss World 2025 delegation visiting the Institute. Whatever Dr Raghu Ram undertakes, he accomplished his goals with 100% success rate. Having watched him closely for close to two decades, I can vouch for this fact. His unwavering love for his mother and motherland brought him back from the UK to India, where he has been working with missionary zeal for the to transform breast cancer care through countless innovative initiatives. I extend my best wishes to him and anticipate many more milestones in his tireless service to the nation.” Miss World 2025 Contestants paid glowing tributes to Dr Raghu Ram for gaining inspiration from his mother, Dr Ushalakshmi’s breast cancer journey and creating the much needed breast cancer awareness in the country where more than 60% present in advanced stages with poor survival. They shared their perspectives and their role in improving breast cancer care in their respective Countries. All of them shared their experience and said that they would take back with them the learnings from today’s brilliant power point presentation from Dr Raghu Ram and try to incorporate the initiatives implemented by Ushalakshmi Breast Cancer Foundation in their motherland. Addressing the gathering, Dr P. Raghu Ram, Founding Director of KIMS-USHALAKSHMI Centre for Breast Diseases & Founder and Chairman of Ushalakshmi Breast Cancer Foundation said “ My heartfelt thanks to Miss World contestants for creating the time to spend quality time at KIMS-USHALAKSHMI Centre for Breast Diseases and for their heart-warming remarks to my power point Presentation that showcased the unique and impactful initiatives that have been championed by me over the past 18 years. My mother’s breast cancer journey has been my inspiration and I fold my hands in gratitude to my Colleagues, friends and the Government for their unstinting help, support & guidance, all along. Early detection of breast cancer saves lives and I dedicate my life in my mission to improve breast cancer care in my motherland”. Sharing her own journey of fighting breast cancer, Dr Ananda Shankar Jayant, a renowned classical dancer and breast cancer ‘conqueror’ said “ It has been my greatest fortune to be treated by Dr Raghu Ram. In my own tryst with breast cancer, I managed to emerge strong and successful because of the extraordinary quality of treatment, empathetic care and counselling provided by him throughout the period of my treatment. emerged a ‘conqueror’. It is immensely satisfying that in my journey, Dr Raghu Ram inspired me to stay positive and remain undeterred whilst dealing with this unwelcome visitor. I commend Dr Raghu Ram for staying focused in spreading the message of hope and creating the much-needed awareness about early detection for a decade and beyond.”

DANCE IS A FORM OF WORSHIP - A MEMORABLE AND UNFORGETTABLE EVENING #LifeBeyondSurgery #Rangapravesam Privileged & fortunate to have participated at Srujana Vanka's enthralling & spellbound Rangapravesam, which has captivated and held the audience's attention at the magnificent Ravindra Bharathi for close to three hours. The Programme started with everyone standing in silence for a minute offering a silent prayer and remembering those who sadly lost their lives and grievously injured in the recent #pahalgam terror attack ... Bhavam means emotion... Raagam means tune... Taalam means rhythm. When these three elements of life come together, one gets to witness the beauty of Indian Classical Dance. Srujana has not only excelled in her passion, which is Dance, but has also secured several medals for her outstanding performance in various extracurricular activities including sports, painting & music right from her childhood.She has even undertaken substantial community service. Her commitment and determination to excel in dance shone through when she would to attend dance classes every single day after a heavily demanding teaching schedule at IIIT, where she trained for four years, and even now as a busy software professional. Honoured to had the opportunity to share my thoughts alongside Professor Narayanan, Director, International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) and Prof. Aruna Bhikshu, Head of Department of Dance the University of Hyderabad. Hats off to her guru and my dear friend, Deepika, who not only excelled in Indian Classical Dance, but has also established "Deepanjali" - a Kuchipudi dance school that has been training hundreds of aspiring dancers over the past 25 years and enabling them to fulfill their dreams. With her mother, Radha Reddy garu who was also an accomplished dancer and now her daughter, Shloka, who is a budding Kuchipudi dancer, Deepika carries the rare distinction of carrying the legacy of three generations of distinguished dancers in the family. Above all, I fold my hands in deep respect to Lalitha garu (Srujana's Amma) whose tremendous sacrifices and utmost dedication helped shape her daughter's passion, dreams and aspirations. Wonderful meeting Vivek, Srujana's caring brother as well, who also played a big role in Srujana's success story One of the dance performances included an touching tribute to #lingabhairavi As #sadhguru said a long time ago "One who earns the grace of Linga Bhairavi is a blessed being. You will live a life well beyond your imagination, competence and capabilities". I very much look forward to witnessing many more miracles unfolding in Srujana's life, way beyond her imagination! Dinner Reception in honour of dear friend Prof Rowan Parks, the youngest President ever of The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh - one of the oldest Surgical Colleges in the world … Have known Rowan since 1998 whilst training at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. Our friendship strengthened over the past 27 years… Rowan & I have had a super proud moment in common😊 His father, Prof George Parks served as President of Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland between 2000-2003 and with Rowan now as President of The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh - History has been created - FIRST & THE ONLY TIME for father-so duo to have served at the apex position in the 520 years history of all Four Surgical Royal Colleges in the British isles combined... On a similar note, my father had served as President of Association of Surgeons of India in 1994 & I had the distinct honour to have served as President ASI in 2020 - FIRST & ONLY TIME in the World's second largest Surgical Association's 87 years history for father-son duo to have served at the apex position.... @ The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh @ Association of Surgeons of India #Historycreated #countourblessings🙏 Dr.P.
