Dinner Reception in honour of dear friend Prof Rowan Parks, the youngest President ever of The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh - one of the oldest Surgical Colleges in the world … Have known Rowan since 1998 whilst training at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. Our friendship strengthened over the past 27 years… Rowan & I have had a super proud moment in common😊 His father, Prof George Parks served as President of Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland between 2000-2003 and with Rowan now as President of The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh - History has been created - FIRST & THE ONLY TIME for father-so duo to have served at the apex position in the 520 years history of all Four Surgical Royal Colleges in the British isles combined... On a similar note, my father had served as President of Association of Surgeons of India in 1994 & I had the distinct honour to have served as President ASI in 2020 - FIRST & ONLY TIME in the World's second largest Surgical Association's 87 years history for father-son duo to have served at the apex position.... @ The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh @ Association of Surgeons of India #Historycreated #countourblessings🙏 Dr.P. TWO GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS WERE CREATED ON 8 & 9 MARCH 2025 GUINNESS WORLD RECORD - 1 “LARGEST BREAST CANCER AWARENESS LESSON” GUINNESS WORLD RECORD - 2 "MOST VIEWS OF A BREAST CANCER AWARENESS LESSON ON YOUTUBE IN 24 HOURS" To coincide with the 50th anniversary of #InternationalWomensDay, in an earnest endeavour to reach out globally, Ushalakshmi Breast Cancer Foundation and KIMS-USHALAKSHMI Centre for Breast Diseases based out of Hyderabad in partnership with Brahma Kumaris hosted an awareness Session on “ABCs of Breast Cancer - What every woman must know” Venue: Brahma Kumaris World Head Quarters, Shantivan Date & Time : Saturday, 8 March 2025, 5:30 p.m. The Awareness Session was also premiered on YouTube Aims of this initiative: • Address the ‘taboo’ issue’ surrounding Breast Cancer • Empower women about the importance of EARLY DETECTION • Demystify common myths associated with breast cancer backed with evidence based facts • Emphasise the importance of annual Screening Mammograms for women over 40 • Provide the much-needed inner strength to those fighting the disease SPEAKER Dr. P.
