K. Damayanthi – Fighting Cancer with Faith and Strength
K. Damayanthi, a retired IAS officer, discovered she had breast cancer during a routine medical check-up. Although the diagnosis came as a surprise, she faced the situation with calm determination and strong faith.
After further tests confirmed the disease, Damayanthi underwent breast-conserving surgery followed by chemotherapy and radiotherapy. With the guidance of her doctors and the unwavering support of her family, she successfully completed her treatment.
Despite the physical challenges of chemotherapy, Damayanthi continued to remain positive and even returned to work soon after her surgery. Her resilience and disciplined lifestyle helped her navigate the difficult phase of treatment.
Today, she has been cancer-free for over a decade. Damayanthi believes that faith, early diagnosis, a healthy lifestyle, and a positive mindset played a key role in her recovery and continue to guide her life.
